Playing with the Teacher

grade 2 this year, but he still talks constantly about his grade 1 teacher. Although the only times he ever sees her is on the playground, he always come home to tell me all about her. For the past couple of months every Wednesday during recess she plays catch with him. This is the highlight of his week. If he is not asking me how many more days until Wednesday, he is telling me all about his game of catch.
I have to say that this is an amazing teacher. She doesn't have to go out of her way to play with him (especially now that he is not in her class), but she does. I guess the reason why my son worships her is because of acts like this. There is a rumor going around the school that next year she will be teaching grade 3 and I really hope this rumor is true! It would be super if he could have her as his teacher next year! I will have to say that this particular teacher will always be a favorite with my son and I consider him quite fortunate to be able to be able to spend this time with her.
