Fiddle-a-thon

This morning at 8:00 am my daughter and I headed out the door for her to attend her first fiddle-a-thon. For the past month she has been getting pledges to play for 200 minutes. All the money that was collected for this event is going towards their school’s string program.
I have to say that this event was a huge success. All the kids had fun and their playing was surprisingly good. And…the 200 minutes seemed to go by very quickly. I was surprised! Kara is really really tired now, but she sure had a lot of fun. Her favorite part of playing the violin is the performances so she really enjoyed today. And my ears are still normal. So a good day was had by all. I’m not sure if I got any good pictures as my batteries died quite early in the morning. But I wil check later to see if I got any and if I did, I’ll be sure to post them.

I love the violin. If I were to learn an instrument, I’d love to learn that one.
