Musical Festival– Huge Success!
Apr 23rd, 2008 by Kim
Finally the day arrived that my daughter has been waiting for since she first started playing the violin. Today was their musical festival day and competition. There were a lot of schools represented at this event and over 115 children were performing. The kids worked really hard this past year on learning the violin and learning different songs to play. So..I am happy to announce that all their hard work paid off. My daughter’s class won the GOLD in her division.
She was so happy as were all the children. It finally seemed to them that all their practicing and hard work finally paid off in a big way. Their music teacher was extremely pleased with the results and I am almost positive that she will have something special for them the next day they all get together.
Although winning isn’t everything, it sure is a nice feeling when you do win. ALL the children did wonderful and the lowest medal that was given out was a silver. So…only one more performance to end this year and then they will have a summer break. Next year the kids get to decide if they want to go back in it or not. Kara has already stated that she’s in it for the long haul. And, after her big win today, I’m quite sure that she will be.
That’s awesome! It’s nice when kids practice, practice, practice, and finally get to see how all their hard work pays off.
