Only thee weeks left

I can’t believe how fast the school year went by. Only three weeks left and the kids will be home for their summer vacation. They both had a great and productive year and except for a few illness’s they both did awesome.
Kara got involved with a lot of activities this year but her favorite 0ne was definitely the violin. She has been talking about joining this group since kindergarten and was very pleased to be able to get in. She learned a lot and can play quite a few songs. She has already made the decision to go back into it next year. Next year she will be in grade 5 which means next year will be her final year in elementary school.
Daniel is not quite as outgoing as Kara, but he did well in grade 2. His teacher was very nice and he also learned a lot. He joined the chess club and he has indicated that he will be going back in this club next year as well. So once again, I don’t have to worry about this two as far as their schooling goes and I know after a short summer break, they will both be quite anxious to go back to school. I know I will be. Where does the time go??

Good question! When I was a child I recall feeling like the Summer lasted forever, but as an adult the time just flies by for us.
I am shy and was shy as a kid, the fact Daniel has joined a club I think is a great thing for him, we didn’t have anything to join when I was a kid but it probably would have helped me fit in more or know who to befriend.
It amazes me to think how fast this school year has gone by! Here we are a the end of May all ready, unbelievable! My daughter will go to Jr. High next year for 7th grade, I’m sad and she’s thrilled! They grow up so fast.
My kids last day was yesterday. and my son who is 4, his was over on Thursday.
It’s going to be a longggg Summer.
The time is flyin’ I don’t have kids in school anymore , when I did the summers seemed longer then! Its so wonderful that your kids have the opportunity to play chess and violin. When my kids went to school their instruments were clairinet and flute and such. We lived in a small town then with not so many choices.
