Purchasing online

Although computers have been around for a very long time, I had never actually done any purchases online until up until a month ago. I was always quite nervous about giving out any of my personal information over the Internet. It didn’t matter to me if the site where I was browsing promised that all my information would be secure, I was still majorly hesitant about shopping in this manner. If I felt that way, then I’m sure there are more people out there like me. This is why it’s important for companies like Shop Shield to become in existence.

I was nervous as well but I dipped my toe in the water 6 months ago and have been doing it ever since
Just a little earlier, I was trying to sign in , in a social networking program, but when the data they were required were becoming too personal, I stopped. Why do they have to know all about, the size of my feet , my weight, etc. I find it weird.
But they had my real name, address birthday and the basic information. Now , I received an email informing me that a certain person wants to add me. (and I had thought , I was unable to register completely).
It makes me wonder, why some people do this despicable act - phishing . What would be there reaction if someone did that to them? Just thinking out loud.
Thanks for sharing.
that should read “THE DATA THEY REQUIRED WERE BECOMING TOO PERSONAL”
