High cost of living

Why is it that when a person goes to purchase something important like term life insurance the prices are so outrageous that you almost have second thoughts about making this commitment. I am a firm believer in life insurance and having yourself covered, but what good is coverage if you can’t afford to pay for it? Last week I went to renew my policy and was dumbfounded about the increase in the payments every month. But it’s something I have to have, so I will have to pay it. I’m just not really happy with the increase for what I would consider a necessity of life.

I know that one of our biggest monthly payments is for my husband’s life insurance. It’s crazy!
expensive but needed if you have dependants..mine are grown and gone so I cut back the coverage to the minimim
I am SO with you on this. Luckily I have a “cheap” term life insurance policy through the j-o-b right now. But I want to leave this place, and when I do, the coverage goes with it! Sigh…

Very true. I have 2 life insurance and I have to borrow money just to be able to pay for them. The cost of living is really hard and so is the cost of dying.
