I'm not a parent, but I can honestly say that with a parent like that, I wouldn't be allowing my kids to play with that child anymore. There are times that a child has to learn to stick up for themselves and their loved ones, like your son did, but there are times when it really just crosses the line. If she's not going to put her foot down on that sort of behavior and only encourage, then your kids might be better off finding a new playmate.

Unfortunately, this is how some people just have to act. I agree that the kids should not play together anymore. It's one thing for the kid to be that violent but to have the mother encourage that is really bad news. But now you know where the kid gets it, that's for sure.

It's difficult not to give back in kind but I wouldn't do that. She would be one of those "sue you, sue you" people that sue over any tiny little thing. She certainly is a prize for motherhood, that's for sure. The best thing is to stay away. Too bad for the kids. This could have been a good lesson in what not to do for the kid who banged the heads together.

If anything like that happened again, I think I would ask my kids how much they enjoy playing with the neighbor child and if it is not going to bother them I wouldn't let them play together anymore.

Again, not being in the same situation I can't be totally sure what I would do.
