I hate fake phone calls

For the past couple of days I have received a couple of phone calls from scammers. The phone calls consisted of an automated telephone service telling me that I have won a couple of Caribbean cruises. All I need to do is press 9 and follow their directions. Yeah, right….Press nine and end up with a huge telephone bill with no prize at the end of it. Of course I just hang up when I hear the message starting, but it does seriously annoy me. I don’t understand why some people feel the need to scam other’s. Do they not have anything better in their lives to do?? One of these days I will go on a cruise, but it will be a legitimate one and won’t cost me 1000’s of dollars in telephone bills.

I agree these kinds of calls are very annoying. That’s why we have an answering machine so we don’t need to pick up on these calls anymore.
Scammers really are the worst! And I feel badly b/c I know that some people will actually press 9 in hopes to win something, anything for the first time in their lives.
Lately I’ve been bombarded with those e-mails telling me that my great uncle Lloyd Freankenschinzick of Hungary has died and left me a huge inheritance. Tempting as that is I’m Black (with sprinkles of Native American, Irish and German). I doubt any of my people migrated over to Hungary.

this kind of thing drives me whacko…:)
Caller ID is my friend. If I don’t recognize the number, or none shows up in the disp,ay, it goes to the answering machine.
What I don’t get is how lazy scammers are these days that they have to do it all automated. I hate when I pick up the phone and hear a machine voice on the other end. If you want to scam right, do it yourself!
