Working overtime

For the past two weeks my husband has put in a lot of overtime at his place of employment. Now the extra money is nice but the kids are starting to complain that they never see their father. Thankfully the project that he has been working on is almost complete so the overtime hours are almost over. What has been keeping him so busy you ask? Well not exactly work. He has been restoring a vehicle for his boss. Yeah, he’s doing this on company time and getting paid for it, but what’s a guy to do when the boss asks him to do something. Right now all he has left on the vehicle is to replace the steering rack. When this is complete he is done with this particular job. He has already warned his boss that he doesn’t do body work or painting. So I guess someone else in the company will be getting a little overtime.
That’s pretty nervy of his boss, but at least he’s getting paid overtime for helping him out!
I was just thinking about all the dads who have to work weekends. It is so sad that they can’t be with the kids as much as they would like to.
well, it is nice to get the overtime.
I know my kids had issues like that when they were younger now they do not complain as much when Allen has overtime.
Though getting extra dollars for overtime is really nice, missing the kids is too costly. Any how, at last he got rid of the overtime. Hope your kids are enjoying time with their Dad….
