Payday–Sort of…

As you all know a couple of weeks ago I had returned to my former place of employment. Well yesterday was my first payday back. I was quite excited to receive my first paycheck as it was the first paycheck that I’ve gotten in well over a year. I am thinking that I can finally help out with the household expenses. Well you can imagine my surprise when I opened my paycheck only to discover that the general manager made a serious boo-boo and over paid me. What this meant is that I couldn’t cash the check. I have to wait and go into today to try to get it all straightened out. So although it was officially pay day yesterday, I am now stuck with a check I can’t cash. Hopefully we get this all straightened out today and I will then be able to cash my very first paycheck in over a year.

It seems like always goofy things happen, don’t they? I’m sure it’ll get straightened out, but nothing’s ever easy. Life is just full of hassles it seems.
Isn’t it exciting to get a paycheck again! I’m sure you’ll get it all worked out, hopefully fast!
That is disappointing. I hope they can fix it quickly.
