He’s on the mend

About a month ago my husband’s boss was in a serious motorcycle accident. It was so sever that he almost died. Well after a month of being in the hospital they finally released him and let him go home. He is in a wheel chair and will be for quite a while but he is slowly getting back to normal.
On his way home from the hospital he stopped into work to see the boys. My husband was quite surprised when he started talking about looking for Harley parts and rebuilding his bike when he is able. Honestly this was the last thing anyone ever expected to come out of his mouth. This bike nearly killed him only a month ago and he is already making plans to start riding when he is able. Either he is very determined, or very…. Well you get the picture. I hate to say this, but if I was his wife…it would never happen! I would never let him take a chance like that ever again.
Hi,
If I was in his position, I would never turn my head towards any bike in my lifetime. But your hubby’s boos is really having more guts than a normal man. I’ll pray the Almighty to get well soon.
Neither would I.
And if I were him, I wouldn’t need my wife or anyone else to tell me to stay off the motorcycle.
Meh, I can understand that it doesn’t phase him that much. Since he’s already had his life-threatening accident, the statistical chance of him getting into a life-threatening accident is a lot smaller
Us men just do what we want to do. We know driving a bike is dangerous and we know it before we start it. When we’re confronted with reality it’s not a reality check. It’s just a confirmation of what we already knew… So why not step back on the bike? We knew all along it was dangerous.
I think it’s something like that. I didn’t get this sentence though: “I hate to say this, but if I was his wife…it would never happen!”
Wasn’t it YOUR husband you were talking about?
**No it was my husband’s boss that was in the accident.**
I rode bikes when I was younger…way younger and I loved it. I have sat on the back of quite a few Harleys and done some very stupid things.
Sometimes when I see people riding by I get a little itch but it goes away very quickly now that I am older.
Thank goodness my hubby doesn’t ride. This would worry me to death also.
