I have sat on the back of quite a few Harleys and done some very stupid things. Sometimes when I see people riding by I get a little itch but it goes away very quickly now that I am older. Since he's already had his life-threatening accident, the statistical chance of him getting into a life-threatening accident is a lot smaller ;-) Us men just do what we want to do. We know driving a bike is dangerous and we know it before we start it. When we're confronted with reality it's not a reality check. It's just a confirmation of what we already knew... So why not step back on the bike? We knew all along it was dangerous. I think it's something like that. I didn't get this sentence though: "I hate to say this, but if I was his wife…it would never happen!"
