First skating session

Every year my kid’s school schedules them class time to go to the local skating rink for a little fun and exercise. Well this morning was my son’s first skate of the year. Although he is not the best skater in the school, I have to say that he probably had the funnest time this morning. He spent more time sitting on the ice (due to falling) then actually skating. But every time he fell he would lay back and laugh his head off. So he spent quite a bit of time laughing. He had fun and that was the main thing. Me…not so much. The rink was COLD! And even with my large coffee, I was still freezing. While watching him skate I was really wishing that I was anywhere but there. I would have even liked to been on one of the Orlando vacations. But, I was needed at the rink to watch my son skate and fall. Seriously I wouldn’t have missed this morning for the world. Next time I’ll just have to dress warmer.
The fact that your son can fall down and just laugh it off is a sign that he’s a special kid. I think there is a lesson there for us all to learn which is not to take life too seriously. Enjoy him!
I don’t like skating either. Not roller skating or ice skating, although I only went ice skating once. My ankles just aren’t strong enough to do it well, but I did better at that than I did at roller skating. It just seemed like work to me. I guess kids think it’s funny when they slide and fall. Me, I’d rather stay up on my feet.
ohh!! good moral.. there is a perfect lesson for all of us to take every things seriously and dont spoil what u have..
