Building up my credit
Nov 24th, 2008 by Kim
I have to tell you all that I am quite pleased with myself. And…now I’m going to tell you all why.
About five years ago I decided it was about time that I built up a good credit rating for myself. I didn’t have bad credit, I just didn’t have any credit at all. So I decided to get a couple of credit cards, make small purchases on them and then pay them off. Well my plan worked out really well so apparently right now I have pretty awesome credit. My credit is so good right now that my bank has been contacting me about getting a line of credit and an overdraft on my account. So I guess my efforts have paid off and I won’t have to worry about any commercial collection agencies calling me. Now if I can only keep this trend up, I’ll be super happy.
Congratulations! Paying off the whole amount each month is the way to do it; we do that too!
I did the same thing. Whenever I need to buy something, I put it on my credit card just so I can build up my credit and it worked…but it takes time.
I have made up my mind to pay off all outstanding payment on my CC once.I tried so hard to build my credit and during crunch. I had it cut. Great tips though. Monica
In today’s economic turmoil, it’s difficult to keep our credit in good scores. We need money to buy our basic needs. And ultimately sometimes we trapped in a situation that we cannot pay the credit bill on time. Good for you to manage your credit in awesome way.
