My boss is a little strange

Yes, you read that right. My boss is a really nice lady, but she can be a little strange as well. Take for example today. Earlier in the week she asked me if I could stay a couple hours past my shift. Her reason for this is because there were going to be basketball tournaments in our area all weekend and she figured that the other waitress on shift wouldn’t be able to handle it if she got busy. So I said yes, and never thought any more about it.
Well here comes the strange part. She stopped in today and the place was going crazy. She (who wasn’t working) got all in a panic and then stated that she couldn’t stay?? Well, I didn’t ask her too. I had everything under control. So when I told her don’t worry about it, and go home she then looked at me and told me that I looked very pretty that day. WTH?? I already told her to go home, she didn’t have to butter me up. LOL
And that’s why my boss is a little strange.
Your boss could see this you know. It’s not a good idea to post bad things about your boss. Maybe she really meant the compliment.
She sounds like the type of person whose wires get crossed when under extreme pressure or panic. I’m sure she will be more under control and “normal” once she calms down and gets a grip.
On the other hand, if this is a common occurence, you do have a bit of an odd situation there. Its probably best to just “go on” and not hint at the fact that she is not exactly an average person.

I think she was aware that she was acting strange. And to make herself look normal, she wanted to sound sweet.
okay she was having a confusing day. drinking maybe. my boss likes to tell me about her personal medical issues. eeek.
Haha she was probably confused and happy she’s going home…
People can be a bit strange sometimes.
