Computer shopping

My husband, the children and I all have our own laptops. The kids are currently sharing my old one, but it has almost given up the ghost. Right now they can’t play too many games on it because of the lack of memory, and when it heats up a little bit, it just shuts itself down. So they really do need another computer. So, my husband and I have been doing a little research regarding new computers, new laptops and new netbooks. I really think we will end up getting the kids a new laptop as they are lightweight and portable. But with so many choices and so many prices available to us, we are having kind of a difficult time deciding on what type of computer to buy. But as long as the laptop they currently use still works, we still have a bit of time to make up our minds. I guess when this unit does finally die, we will then have to make up our minds in a real big hurry.
