You folks are not going to believe this! Earlier this week I posted that my husband had finally gone back to work. Well I was in for a little surprise when a couple hours after that post was done he came home again. This time he wasn’t sick. They decided that since he had used up his sick time that the couple of days that he missed earlier in the week should count as vacation days. So they gave him the rest of this week off as vacation time. So once again I have had him home for the entire week. Hopefully he will go back to work on Monday! I have to tell you all that I’m kind of getting a little scared as to whether or not he will end up ever going back to work. And of course, I’ll keep you all posted.

After over a week I finally have my house all to myself again. My husband was home from work for over a week home sick with the flue and he went back to work this morning. So I have a lot of catching up to do. I have tons of housework to do, a pile of Internet work to finish up with and I also really need to continue working on my quilt. I can’t believe what I didn’t get done last week and although I don’t look forward to doing all this extra work, it has to get done. At least I have the peace and quiet finally.

So as you all read in my last post I was doing a bit of spring cleaning. Well along my travels in cleaning out my craft room I came across an old guitar of mine. In all honesty I had forgotten about this guitar. Years ago (and I do mean years ago) I decided that I wanted to teach myself how to play guitar. So I begged my boyfriend at the time to get me a guitar for Christmas. Well he did and I did attempt to teach myself how to play guitar. Well I got bored with it and put it away a short time later. And now 20 years later I found it again.

I have decided to try once again to teach myself how to play it. Yes the guitar is old and not a Gibson but for a person who is just starting out I think it will suit my needs quite wonderfully. I have decided to take it someplace to get it tuned up and then I’ll purchase some DVDs that show a person step by step how to play a guitar. I think after I’ve invested all this time and money into this project I may be a little more motivated to learn this craft. After I get good (fingers crossed) I will definitely think about purchasing myself a Gibson guitar as they really are the best model and I’m pretty sure will sound a whole lot better than the one a plan to learn on.

So… wish my luck and as always, I will keep you all posted on my progress.

Last week I spent a bit of time clearing out my craft room. I got rid of a lot of stuff and now can actually work in that room. So I have decided to do the same thing with my two kid’s bedrooms. Their rooms are so small and they have so much stuff that you really can’t tell if they cleaned it or not. So today the first of the rooms is going to get a serious makeover. I have decided to tackle my son’s room first as he has less stuff than my daughter so it shouldn’t take as long to complete his room. He has a lot of old broken model kits that I know he has no intention of finishing so those items will be tossed out first. Then… I’ll dive under his bed and computer stand to see what other treasures I might find. So if you don’t see me around for a couple of days just assume I got swallowed up in his clutter and I’ll find my way back eventually.

Man I’m getting a little tired of my work. Two weeks ago we had a staff meeting. I didn’t end up going to it so I made a special trip to work to talk to my manager. At that time she explained a few things and I thought we were all good to go. Well apparently not! Tonight we have a meeting for waitresses and I’ve been told that I have to attend. This is so stupid. I don’t know what she could possibly have to say differently than she said two weeks ago. Honestly I’d rather be home writing articles on how to search for information on free dating online at Zyngle.com for a couple of hours than to attend a half hour staff meeting. Oh well, as long as I’m employed there I have to attend. So now you all know what I’ll be doing on my day off.

Well once again I have changed my mind concerning my present employment. The reason for this change of mind is because the situation at work is going to get a lot better in a couple of weeks (fingers crossed). The one employee that I have been having a world of trouble with has given her two weeks notice. She was the reason why I was seriously considering leaving a place where I’ve worked for the past 11 years but if she holds on for the two weeks and does in fact leave, I won’t have to. So I have two weeks of keeping my fingers crossed that she doesn’t change her mind. If she does in fact leave, I’ll stay. If she doesn’t then yes, I’ll still be leaving.

For Christmas my husband surprised me with a new phone. Or as he likes to call it…. Téléphones cellulaires. Our contract ran out on our old phones so he decided to purchase me a new iPhone 4. I was tickled pick when I got it and thought man… the stuff I could do with this. But I don’t seem to be enjoying it as much as I thought I would. Yes I’ve downloaded some music and some pics but really haven’t even begun to use the other features. I’m going to try to figure this thing out so I can get the full enjoyment out of it like I should be. Even though I haven’t figured out everything on it yet I still am enjoying having this new phone and I’m sure pretty soon I’ll have figured it all out and be using it a lot more often than I currently am.

Since my paychecks have pretty much evaporated these days I have been wracking my brain coming up with ideas on how to earn extra cash. I have decided to try to revive my craft business once again. A couple of years ago when I was putting effort into it I started to do pretty good. But over the past couple of years it kind of went by the wayside and I stopped creating which meant I stopped making money as well. So since it’s something that I do enjoy I’ve decided to try to put a bigger effort into this project.

The first thing I need to do is to dust off my cedar furniture and take stock of my inventory that I already have in the house. Then I’m going to decide what I want to make to sell. After I have a few items made, I will then concentrate on creating a brand new website to showcase my items. I once again have a purpose in life and am quite excited about getting started. And of course, I’ll keep you all posted on my progress.

Well 2012 isn’t looking really profitable so far. Last night I went to the bank to update my account to see where I was at in terms of money after all this Christmas spending. To tell you I was a little shocked and surprised at the balance is a huge understatement. So I’ve really got to find a way to cut some costs this year so I can increase my bank balance once again.

I have decided to search online for some inexpensive but quality gifts for a few birthday presents that I have to purchase this year. I found a great site where I found giant cookie bouquets on sale that would be perfect for my father in law and his wife. I found a few more other sites as well that I have bookmarked for possible present shopping sites as well. I have to try to save money this year and this is one way where I’ve been looking. I have a few other ideas as well and hopefully this all pans out as well.

It’s funny how things happen. Yesterday after a lot of thought I did actually apply for a couple of jobs online. I sent them my resume and just sat back and started waiting for a phone call. Well something else has happened since then. Later on in the day I happened to have to call my manager on a different matter and we actually got into it over the phone over what’s being going on over the past couple of months. I was able to tell her exactly how I was feeling and she really did listen to me. I think we’ve got this problem worked out. So now I’m just going to wait a little bit to see if things improve there. If they do, I’ll stay. If not, I continue to look for something else because there is one thing I can tell you all…. I’m not going though another two months like I just did. I can’t handle that kind of stress any more and I don’t plan too. So of course I’ll keep you all posted.
