Camping season is now over

Well once again the camping season is over and once again we were not able to go out this summer as much as we would have liked to. But… it’s over now so it’s time to move on. My husband has indicated that instead of investing in some major rv repairs, he plans on looking at new units for next year. I don’t really understand purchasing something new as we really don’t get to use the trailer as much as we would like to now. But I think if we upgrade to a travel trailer instead of a pop up we might actually use it more. Oh well, I’ll just sit back and watch and see what he does and if I need to poke my nose into the situation I will do so then. No point in worrying about it until he makes up his mind once and for all.

Camping this weekend

So this is a long weekend here in Canada. Today is our Canada day and then it’s the weekend. What makes this holiday extra sweet is the fact that my husband is now on vacation as well. So… this weekend we are going to go out on our first camping trip of the season. I’ve got all our stuff ready and now only have to worry about the little things like making sure to pack our RIM Blackberry Accessories , make sure we have plenty of food, and get ready to have some serious fun. So have a great weekend all and stay safe.

Camping season almost here

In four days our camping season will start and I for one am most excited. My husband has promised me that we will be going camping more this year than any other year. So that’s why I absolutely can’t wait for this season to begin. But I’m no where near ready to start the season. I still have to find our portable radios, flashlights, sleeping bags and everything else we will need for our upcoming camping adventures. The kids are pretty stoked about all this too. So hopefully soon I will be able to start posting that we have started camping and are having a blast.

Great weekend!

So we all a had a great weekend! We got to go camping! Thankfully I had gotten a rv insurance quote earlier last month and paid up our insurance on our unit. We didn’t get to leave until Saturday afternoon so we were only able to go for one night. But one night was certainly good enough for this trip.

We ended up going to a site where we had never tried before and we had a blast. Matter of fact both kids informed us that that was their favorite camping site and they can’t wait to go back. I’m not real sure if we will get to go this weekend but my fingers are crossed just in case. I’m happy that we at least got to go camping this summer at least once.

Weekend plans

Well it’s once again Friday night so the weekend is almost upon us. This weekend I’m really hoping my husband doesn’t have to work so that we can all go camping. At this point I’m not sure if that is going to happen and I have to wait until he gets off work tonight to find out. We haven’t been able to go camping yet this year and the kids and I are really starting to get annoyed. They are all packed just in case and my daughter even packed her binoculars for the drive down.

So if you don’t see me around much this weekend you will know that we actually got to go camping.

Weekend away

Both my husband and I are off work for the weekend. So first thing tomorrow morning we will be packing up our camper and headed out to the camp site. Because of a serious amount of rain and the fact that almost (not me) everyone in the house has been sick a lot this summer, we haven’t been able to get a weekend away. But if the weather holds up we will be going away this weekend.

So if you don’t see me around much this weekend, now you will know why. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I will see you all again the first of next week.

Surprise vacation

Well my husband came home with quite the surprise on Friday. He informed me that he now has the week off for his vacation. This was quite the surprise as I was expecting him to take his final week when the kids first go back to school. But this is good too. This means that we will be able to go camping this week. And since we were unable to go this weekend, this kind of makes up for it. So for the next week I’m not going to worry about the little things around here getting done like getting life insurance leads and I’ll just concentrate on having fun with the family for this entire unexpected surprise.

No camping this weekend

Although my husband and I are both off this weekend, we still won’t be able to go camping. I called around to all the campgrounds in our area to see if we could get a reservation and they were all booked solid. I swear to god that it would be easier to get some miami vacations packages easier than it is to find a site to put up our trailer. The reason why all the campgrounds are so busy this weekend is because we have a huge flea market coming to town and everyone is going camping to be up in the area for the flea market. Hopefully we will be able to go camping next weekend. But with the way our camping season has been going so far, I really won’t hold my breath.

First camping trip

Well it looks like our first camping trip of the season will be this coming weekend. My husband has already spoken to his boss about taking the weekend off and turning in the truck. We won’t be going too far, but even to get out for one night will be a real treat for the kids. We plan on leaving first thing Saturday morning and will be back sometime Sunday afternoon. So for the next couple of days I will have to get everything that needs to be done to make sure we have a great first camping trip. Hopefully the weatherman cooperates and we all have a great time.

Camping season

Since it’s May 15, that means that it’s officially the pro villus
first day of camping season. this particular day is the day that my family looks forward to all winter. But unfortunately we won't be going camping this weekend. The weatherman is calling for rain all weekend and it's actually raining right now. But we've got the whole season to look forward to, so I'm not really disappointed about not being able to go this weekend. There will be other weekends. And when the weather is nicer, we will load up the camper and be on our way. I can't wait!
