Nice surprise

My oldest son does not live at home now, but when ever a special occasion has arrived, we always hear from him. Well last night he e-mailed his brother and sister to tell them how pleased and proud he was of them for all their good work during the school year. He also mentioned that he had a couple of presents coming to them as well.

For my daughter, he is sending her a digital camera and for my youngest son he has purchased him some airsoft accessories. I really did have to laugh as I think these airsoft accessories was probably bought for my youngest son as well as himself. This summer he plans on coming home for a visit and by the way he has been talking I am thinking that he is bringing his own accessories airsoft guns to be able to go out and play with his brother. I really do think both kids are going to love their presents from their brother, but I’m pretty sure when my son sees his air soft accessories from his brother, he will be the most excited.

Searching for invitations

Last night was I was searching for invitations online, I discovered a pretty cool site. I found this site over at www.invitations.shoppe.com. I was amazed at the amount of cards they sell and even the different types of cards they sell. They had a wide variety of New Years Party Invitations that would be ideal for anyone who is planning a major New Years Eve splash. And the prices for these Invitations New Years Eve Party really couldn’t be beat. I even discovered that you can get New Years Eve invitations and , New Years Day party invitations customized to your own specifications. I have bookmarked this site and will be checking it out a little closer when the time for a New Years Eve party draws near.

Family night out

After my husband arrived home from work last night he decided to surprise the family and suggested that we all go to the movies. The kids have been bugging him a lot lately to take them to see the movie UP so he decided that last night would be the night. The movie was kind of cute and the kids really did enjoy it. Because this type of evening out does cost us quite a bit, we don’t do this a whole lot in life. So when we do, the kids get pretty excited. This wouldn’t have been a movie I would have chose to see, but since we had the kids with us, this was the one we settled on. The only bad thing that I would have to say happened was the fact that the movie didn’t get over until 9:00 pm so the kids were up pretty late. So trying to get them up and to go to school this morning was quite the chore. But, a good time was had by all.

I would love to have a party

If we had a bigger house, I would love to have a Mardi Gras party. I have seen pictures on the TV of these types of parties and how fun they look. the first thing I would do is order up some Mardi Gras Party Invitations and then would hand out all these Mardi Gras Invitations to all our friends and family. I just think this would be a fun type of party for the kids as well as the adults. But as long as we lie where we do, I won’t be handing out party invitations Mardi Gras. But as soon as we buy a bigger house with a yard, you can just bet that the Mardi Gras Ball invitations will be going out.

BBQ season

Earlier last week, I received a package at my door. It was a package from The Real Atlantic Superstore. This package contained everything I would ever need for a successful BBQ. And since last weekend was our first long weekend of the upcoming BBQ season, I thought it would be a perfect time for me to test out all these products.

In the package I received a really cool wicker picnic basket filled with President’s Choice marinating sauce, President’s Choice BBQ sauce, President’s Choice Sea Salt and Black Pepper, and three coupons for free President’s Choice Fresh Meats.

Well since the weekend was so nice, we decided to try out some of these products and see for ourselves just how good these President Choice products really are. And we were not disappointed. My favorite part of the BBQ was the Air Cooled chicken. My husband and my children’s favorite part of the BBQ was the Back Ribs. All the meat that I was given to try was probably one of the best tasting meat products that I have tried in a very long time.

So after enjoying these products from The Real Atlantic Superstore, I have to say that I will definitely be making some more purchases of my own. Not only did these products give me one of the best BBQ experiences of my life time but, there good for you as well.

Vacation plans

With summer fast approaching I finally convinced my husband to book off his vacation days. This way I have lots of time to make a decision as to what we are going to do this summer. I won’t be working so vacation days really don’t affect me. But it would be really nice to know when he’s available so we make our plans accordingly. We really can’t afford to do anything like Outer Banks rentals or anything like that. But I’m sure we will be able to sneak a couple of camping weeks in. Because he’s on vacation we will be able to go camping further away from home. So now all we need to do is decide where and make the reservations.

Motorcycle fever

Now that it’s spring most of the guys that my husband works with are digging out the motor bikes. So that means that my husband is bugging me once again to purchase a bike. Up until last year I was OK with him getting a bike. But when his boss got into a major accident (that almost took his life), I changed my tune real quick. Last night we were discussing the pros and cons about him purchasing a bike and I told him that one of the conditions for him to be able to buy one, would be if I had some motorcycle accident attorneys numbers on speed dial. I’m not kidding. I’m terrified at the thoughts of him being on a bike and you will NEVER EVER catch me riding with him. Hopefully all he does is talk about getting one and doesn’t actually make the purchase.

Get Myspace Christmas Countdown

While browsing the Internet this morning I came across a few blogs that were announcing how many days left until Christmas. This kind of depressed me a bit as it made me realize how little time I have left to get ready for all the excitement. Right now I have a few things bought, but not nearly enough. I have bought both the kids some clothes, but no toys yet. And for my husband I haven’t bought him a thing yet. I know what I want to buy him, I just haven’t made the purchase yet. So maybe this weekend I will go out and purchase him the gift I want to get him. Are you all dying to know what it is? Well its a pop up tv. Every time he sees on on TV he always mentions how he would like one. So this year he’s getting one!

Weekend camping trip

So yes, we were able to make it out to the campsite this past weekend. My husband got called into work (more overtime lol) and was gone most of the day, but when he got home he told me to pack up. Even though it was a lot later than we normally go my husband said we would go because the kids were so disappointed that we were going to miss out. So we went for one night and had a great time. I’m glad he decided to go anyway because he made the kids so happy. And since it is one of the last weekends that we will be able to go for this season it was nice to get away. Hopefully we will get to go this coming weekend as it will be the final one for the season. I’ll let you know!
