Anniversary coming up

In a month’s time my husband and I will have been married eight years. We have been together 15 years, but as you can see, didn’t get married for quite a while. I plan on holding a surprise anniversary party for my husband. The first thing I need to do is to order up all the Anniversary Invitations that I will need. Once I get these Wedding Anniversary Invitations ordered and in my hands, I will then start handing them out to different members of the family as well as some of our close friends. Although I won’t be able to give some anniversary wedding invitations to everyone I want to (due to lack of space), I am hoping that the ones that do receive the anniversary party invitations will be able to come. Now all I have to do is to keep this a secret from my husband for at least another month.

Another first

Last weekend my daughter was invited to her new friends house for a sleepover. Because she had never done this before we were a little scared as to how she would make out. But she did great and had fun and is looking forward to spending many more nights at this girl’s house. So this past weekend the girls asked if this girl could stay at our house overnight. This is something that’s never happened before in the past either. Well on Friday night this child showed up on our doorstep ready for her sleepover. Well I’m happy to report that the night went very well. The girls weren’t too loud and they did eventually go to sleep. So I guess this sleeping over is going to work out very well for both girls. I’m really glad that my daughter has found this friend and hopefully they continue their friendship for many more years to come.

First sleepover

On Saturday my 10 year old daughter went on her first sleepover. About a week ago my husband’s boss and his family moved into the trailer park where we live. My husband’s boss also has a 10 year old daughter as well. When our daughter and their daughter met, the clicked right away. For the entire week they were inseparable. On Saturday the little girl called Kara to see if she wanted to come over to play. Within five minutes of being together the girls decided they needed to have a sleepover. So my daughter told her father to bring certain items back to the house so she could stay overnight.

I really didn’t think she would stay. But, she did and had a wonderful time! She did end up calling seven different times, but she did stay the entire night. They brought her back the next morning and the girls are already talking about when Kara can sleep over again. I’m glad her first night away from home worked out so well for her and I’m also glad that she now has a really good friend that lives closely. I really hope the girls continue to stay good friends and I can see a lot more sleepovers coming up in the future.

Update on previous post

First of all I would like to say that I survived that happy but sad day. The kids and my husband were wonderful. For our anniversary my husband let me sleep in and then brought me a coffee from my favorite coffee shop. Then for dinner/supper he took me and the kids to a restaurant for our anniversary meal. I know it should have been him and I, but we just couldn’t get away without them. lol

The sadness due to the anniversary of my father’s death was as present as it has been in previous years. Yes, I miss him dearly and I did think about things on and off during the day but I guess time really does heal all wounds. As the sadness was not as great this year.

Second of all I would like to THANK you all!!! The comments and encouragement I received from all you wonderful readers was highly unexpected! I was so grateful for all your comments, encouragements and life stories. I know this helped me out greatly. I was a little hesitant to make that post, but I am now glad I did. I am sure that those comments I received on that post really helped me get through that day.

So again, THANK YOU to all my readers and commenter’s.

I am fortunate

My husband was talking to extrato de caralluma
one of the guys that he works with yesterday. Apparently this guys 15 year old daughter was picked up by the police over the weekend for underage drinking. This father has had a lot of problems with this child over the past couple of years and is almost at the end of his rope. She has been caught for shop lifting, underage drinking and with possession of marijuana. Her life is completely out of control right now and he is unsure as to how to help him.

The only advice my husband could give him was to get her into a drug rehab program as soon as possible. She is only 15 so she can turn her life around if she so chooses. Hearing things like this just makes me appreciate all my kids all the more. Even though my oldest son gave me a lot of trouble over the years, this trouble did not involved serious matters like these. So I guess I can be happy that he gave me the kind of grief that he did and nothing else more serious.

Great friends are GREAT!

year ago, one of my very best friends moved quite far away. She is so far away that haven't seen her since she moved. But, she is a blogger so we are able to keep in touch through our blogs and through our e-mail address. Well today she e-mailed me to ask if I wanted some FREE scrapbooking supplies. Of course, I said yes. Who wouldn't take FREE of anything. I thought maybe it was a contest or something that she was trying to get me to enter. So I was really surprised that it was a lady's e-mail address she sent me. This lady is doing some spring cleaning and has decided that she doesn't want to scrapbook anymore so she is getting rid of all her stuff. So I've been in contact with her and sometime tomorrow she will be dropping off some supplies to me.

So, I have to say thanks to Carrie for thinking of me and thanks to this wonderful scrapbooking lady for all these free supplies.

Ringing in the New Year

As you all know tomorrow night is New Year’s Eve. I would like to caralluma fimbrata
take this opportunity to wish each and everyone of you a wonderful New Year and I hope that the new year brings you all everything you could possibly hope for. With the new year so close at hand, it has given me the opportunity to reflect on the past and to look forward to the future. All in all, 2007 wasn't a very happy year for me, so I have been seriously looking forward to what the future may bring to me and my family.

Well I hope that 2008 only brings happiness and good luck to you and yours. I look forward to seeing you all in the new year and hopefully 2008 will be the best year ever!
