House hunting

This past weekend we had a long weekend in our area. So my husband and I were both of work (sort of). He was on call all weekend so we couldn’t travel very far. But we still managed to fit a full weekend in. On Saturday and Sunday we attended a lot of open houses trying to find that perfect place. We did find one that we both really liked. It came equipped with Elkay faucets, two fireplaces and a dishwasher.

We both loved it so much that we are seriously considering putting in an offer. We have an appointment tomorrow morning with the bank to see what kind of financing we can get and then we’ll make a decision. And of course, I’ll let you all know the outcome.

Beautiful weekend!

Well once again we were blessed with another beautiful weekend. Yesterday my husband and I renovated our deck outside and today I will be painting it. With all this physical labour, I sure don’t need to invest in any diet supplements now do I?? We were supposed to get rain all weekend so getting all this sunshine was definitely an added bonus. Hopefully all this nice weather keeps up and we will be able to finish all our outside work in no time.

Weekend plans

My two kids are in for a major surprise this weekend. They are both going to be spending a lot of time in their rooms cleaning them. They have tons and tons of old and broken toys that they both need to go through and I’m also going to get them to go through their dressers. I’m seriously getting tired of having to do all the housework myself and have decided that these two are going to have to start helping me out a little bit. Maybe if I keep them busy all weekend cleaning their rooms, they won’t have quite so much time on their hands to fight. So it’s a win… win situation for me.

Cleaning out the closets

Well it’s finally going to happen. Today I am finally going to go through all the closets in our house and start throwing away stuff. I have things in my bathroom closet like best eye cream for wrinkles that are well over two years old. I don’t think that after two years if I haven’t used it, that I’m going to be in need of it any time soon. I am also going to go through the kid’s stuff and see what can be tossed. This house is starting to get extremely cluttered with junk and it’s really time I took control of this situation. Wish me luck, it’s going to be a very long…. day.

So depressed

Mondays always seem to depress me. I work all weekend so when Monday arrives you would think I would be happy. But, that doesn’t happen. Because I work all weekend, nothing gets done around here and I get to face it every Monday morning. Well, I honestly think I’ve had just about enough. With three other’s living here, you would think that they could do something over the weekend, but nope, that’s what mom is for. Well, I’m pretty tired of it. I think maybe I should check out some waikiki hotels and run away for a little while. Maybe then they would learn to do a little bit of housework.

Oh well, it has to get done, so once again I guess it’s up to me. I just wish I didn’t have to face this mess every Monday morning.

Isn’t this always the way??

Earlier last week our ceiling fan in our living room broke. So for three days we had no light in the living room. So my husband headed out to the store and bought us some Minka lighting. Well, the very next day the exact light that we bought went on sale!! It was less than half of what we paid. So he took the receipt down to the store and was able to get his money back. What’s the chances of this happening on light fixtures?? Oh well, we now have lights back in the living room and got some money back so it’s all good.

Looking for a change

I am so tired of the way my living room looks that I have decided that it is once again time for a change. I have decided to remove all the tv stands and bigger pieces of furniture out of the room and put smaller pieces in there so that the living room looks a lot bigger than it actually is. Then I will convince my husband to finally lay down the carpet that I have been wanting for years. With all the big furniture out of the way and new carpet down, I think this would be a space where I would be happier in. And then maybe I wouldn’t spend so much time in my office and the family might see me a little bit more sitting in the living room.

Moving

Well we have definitely made our decision to move. Life here in the trailer park has gotten pretty unbearable. So we have decided to finish up the renovations and then put the trailer up for sale. We don’t need to check out any moving companies Los Angeles or anything like that, but it would be nice to finally have everything done, the trailer sold and us moving into something more suitable. But I realize that Rome wasn’t built in a day, so I’m trying to be patient. But I honestly can’t tell you how happy I will be when we are finally out of here!

We put a bid on a house

Well last weekend my husband and went to look at a house and fell madly in love with it. So earlier this week we put a bid on it. We still haven’t heard anything back yet, but are both sitting here with our fingers crossed. I really want this house and would really love the opportunity to be able to hand out some Moving Announcements.

I have waited so many years to find a house and now am getting quite anxious to see if we get it. If we do, you can bet that I’m going to pop over to www.announcements-shoppe.com and purchase some really nice Announcements Moving Cards to give to all my friends. As we wouldn’t be moving too far away, I really don’t need these types of moving cards, but they would be really nice to show off to all my friends and brag that I finally got my house. Well, I’ll be sure to let you all know how we make out with this.

I have to say that I’m definitely loving these latest product reviews that I have been asked to do. I have had the opportunity to use some Febreze in the past and have seriously fell in love with this brand. Well last week I was sent another package with everything you see in the above picture to try out and tell you all about. And let me tell you all that I was highly impressed with each of the items in the package.

The candles they sent me are the sweetest smelling candles on the market. They make the whole house smell like I’m living in the tropics. The air and carpet fresheners really do make the entire house smell so good. And the noticeable plug-ins are a great addition to my son and daughter’s rooms (if you know what I mean).
