Early spring cleaning

Last week I spent a bit of time clearing out my craft room. I got rid of a lot of stuff and now can actually work in that room. So I have decided to do the same thing with my two kid’s bedrooms. Their rooms are so small and they have so much stuff that you really can’t tell if they cleaned it or not. So today the first of the rooms is going to get a serious makeover. I have decided to tackle my son’s room first as he has less stuff than my daughter so it shouldn’t take as long to complete his room. He has a lot of old broken model kits that I know he has no intention of finishing so those items will be tossed out first. Then… I’ll dive under his bed and computer stand to see what other treasures I might find. So if you don’t see me around for a couple of days just assume I got swallowed up in his clutter and I’ll find my way back eventually.

Back to school cleaning

You parents are going to know exactly what I’m talking about here. I’m talking about the major amount of work that it takes to get your kids ready to go back to school. Not only do you have to purchase tons and tons of school supplies, but if your kids are anything like my own, you are also purchasing tons and tons of school clothes as well. A very costly venture if I do say so.

So in preparation of buying all these school clothes I have been doing a little cleaning in the kids rooms to see exactly what kind of clothes they will need. Well while I was in their rooms I discovered that neither room is as clean as I would like it to be so I’ve been doing some pretty heavy duty cleaning as well. So of course I’ve been using a ton of Febreze , Mr. Clean and Swiffer products. Just the other day I was sent a care package in the mail from Febreze and let me tell you all, that it couldn’t have come at a better time.

They sent me air fresheners, candles, set and refresh, and some dawn dish detergent just in case I decide to do my dishes while I’m doing all this extra cleaning (ha, ha who has time?). So I tested out the new fragrances and let me tell you folks, Febreze outdid themselves once again. So… not only do I have the kids rooms cleaned out of old clothes and know exactly what I have to buy, but thanks to Frebreze and Mr. Clean their rooms smell a whole lot nicer as well.

Renovating again

Once again my husband has gotten on the renovating band wagon. He has been looking at Adirondack chairs and other furniture for the home. I really don’t mind when he talks about renovating although it does make me think he doesn’t have any plans to leave this place and that does make me sad. But if I know my husband (and I think I do) most of what he’s going on about right now, will never get done anyway. But I just agree with everything he says and hope that maybe someday I’ll get that new furniture that he’s always talking about.

Spring fever

Well I think spring fever has hit me once again. Every day I sit here in my small cluttered house and seriously wish to be moving to a bigger house. But when ever I broach the subject with my husband I’m pretty much told that unless I can find a stash of hidden gold bullion somewhere we are stuck here for another year. I absolutely hate living here and every spring I get my hopes up that we might move. But… I don’t think that’s going to happen anytime soon.

Feels like spring!

Finally! I think winter is over and spring is definitely here. For the past couple of days the weather outside has been terrific! It has been so warm that I’ve been able to open up most of the windows to get this place aired out. Now that spring has officially arrived, spring cleaning has as well. So today I plan on doing a mess of spring cleaning. I’ll send the kids outside to play and clean out my computer cabinets while they are out of my hair. And if I have time, I think I’ll do some deep cleaning in the kitchen as well.

I know a person shouldn’t be this excited about spring cleaning. But I am! I’m just so darn happy that winter is finally behind us, that I really don’t mind all this extra clean. Happy spring day!

Spring cleaning

Well since we are expected to get a major snow storm over the next couple of days I think I’m going to be housebound. So this seems like the perfect opportunity for me to start my spring cleaning. Every year I participate in this event and every year this exercise seems to get bigger and bigger. But it has to be done and since no one in my house has offered to do it for me it looks like it’s up to me to get my house looking and smelling nice.

Speaking of smelling nice, my son’s room need a lot of help. I don’t understand how a child of ten years can destroy a room as badly as he does, but he does. Major power outage

Yesterday we were without power for over 13 hours. That was not fun! It went out at 11:30 pm Monday night and did not come back on again until 12:30 yesterday morning. It was freezing in here and I couldn’t have my morning coffee. Not a fun day. Well after we finally go power again and turned on the push button switch for the hot water tank we discovered that due to the power outage both burners on the water tank burnt out. So guess what I get to do today. Wait for the repair man. Oh well, at least we have power again and yes, I was able to have my morning coffee.

Christmas cleaning

Well I have got to tell you all that I am certainly not a huge fan of cleaning. And Christmas cleaning, well that’s the worst type of cleaning of all. But… not this year. This year I am getting a little help from Febreze and Mr. Clean and I just have to tell you all about it.

Friday I received a package from UPS and it was loaded with tons of cleaning supplies to help me get my house all ready for Christmas. This package was loaded down with Febreze Cinnamon Sugar spray, Dawn liquid detergent, a Mr. Clean and Febreze liquid cleaner, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and a Swiffer Duster.

Well after testing out all these products over the weekend, I just had to pop in here and tell you all about it. I can’t rave enough about how clean and clean smelling these products made my home. Honestly folks, I didn’t even mind cleaning this time around.

Things are heating up

So I’ve decided to give you all an update on our park situation. Later on this afternoon everyone in the park has been invited to attend a community meeting in regards to these latest rules and regulations that the owners are trying to enforce. Not only will the residents of the park be there, but our local MLA and the media will be there as well. Thank goodness I was able to find an acne treatment that works and will not be scared or embarrassed to be seen on TV. Most of the park is in agreement with all these rules and maybe if we all get together to stand up to these people these rules just might possibly go away.

Going on TV

So as I’ve already posted we are having a few troubles with our new owners of the park. They are making a lot of unreasonable demands and most of the residents of the park do not agree with anything that is going on right now. Well people are so mad about the situation that they have contacted the media. Earlier in the week I was on the radio speaking about the situation and they have now asked me to do a follow up on TV. I have agreed to this but really wish I could find some acne scar removal cream before this event takes place. Maybe if enough of us speak up, these people will change their way of thinking and we can all get back to just living a nice quiet life.
