My husband was home from work for over a week home sick with the flue and he went back to work this morning. So I have a lot of catching up to do. I have tons of housework to do, a pile of Internet work to finish up with and I also really need to continue working on my quilt. I can’t believe what I didn’t get done last week and although I don’t look forward to doing all this extra work, it has to get done. At least I have the peace and quiet finally.

Or as he likes to call it…. Téléphones cellulaires. Our contract ran out on our old phones so he decided to purchase me a new iPhone 4. I was tickled pick when I got it and thought man… the stuff I could do with this. But I don’t seem to be enjoying it as much as I thought I would. Yes I’ve downloaded some music and some pics but really haven’t even begun to use the other features. I’m going to try to figure this thing out so I can get the full enjoyment out of it like I should be. Even though I haven’t figured out everything on it yet I still am enjoying having this new phone and I’m sure pretty soon I’ll have figured it all out and be using it a lot more often than I currently am.

Last night I went to the bank to update my account to see where I was at in terms of money after all this Christmas spending. To tell you I was a little shocked and surprised at the balance is a huge understatement. So I’ve really got to find a way to cut some costs this year so I can increase my bank balance once again.

I have decided to search online for some inexpensive but quality gifts for a few birthday presents that I have to purchase this year. I found a great site where I found giant cookie bouquets on sale that would be perfect for my father in law and his wife. I found a few more other sites as well that I have bookmarked for possible present shopping sites as well. I have to try to save money this year and this is one way where I’ve been looking. I have a few other ideas as well and hopefully this all pans out as well.

But it has been a very long week. On Monday and Tuesday I was away most of the day taking care of two vehicles. On Monday my car needed to be inspected. And a job that was supposed to take an hour to do ended up taking three. Then on Tuesday I had to take my husband’s vehicle in to get four new winter tires. I stayed with the vehicle until it was done and that was the longest two hours of my life. Then yesterday I had a boat load of cleaning to get done around here. Today I can sit back and breath a little easier and get some articles on discount furniture stores in los angeles done before I go to work. Tomorrow I’m planning on doing nothing! We’ll see how that goes. All I know is I’m exhausted and I still have a bunch of stuff to finish up with before the weekend.

Why has this taken six years you ask?? Well up until this year we haven’t had a babysitter. But now that my daughter is able to watch her brother, we are going out. My husband has his annual staff Christmas party tonight and his boss didn’t leave him alone about it until he agreed to go. So later on tonight my husband and I will be heading out the door without the kids to enjoy a little adult time. I for one can’t wait!!

Well for the past couple of days I’ve been wracking my brain trying to figure out what to spend my prize on. I haven’t decided if I’ll just hold on to it until I get enough to purchase a Tablet with Keyboard or I’ll just end up purchasing the kids a couple of Christmas presents which was my initial intention. I hate having to make decisions! But knowing me I’ll end up not getting the tablet but finding some wonderful gifts for the kids so they will be happy on Christmas morning.

It’s been such a long summer with the crappy weather and the kids being stuck inside that I am so ready for it to be over! So over the next week I’m going to be a busy little momma sorting things out and trying to get them ready for their first day back to school. But after that happens then hopefully life will get back to normal once again.

I’ve had both kids home from school for almost two months and let me tell you folks that it was probably the longest two months of my life. But… the summer vacation is almost over and there is less than three weeks of vacation to go. Then these children will be off to school every morning and I will once again get a little quite time for myself. I have so many plans for when they go back to school that it’s actually kind of scary. I’m going to find and sort through all my Cell phone accessories and get everything in order. Then I’m going to clean out my office/craft room and try to start up my home crafting business once again. But until then I still have two children underfoot and fighting so until then I’m just going to try to get through the next two and a half weeks while they’re still hat home.

The reason for this is because it has to end! I’ve just enjoyed having 11 days off but now my fun time is over. My vacation ended yesterday and I went back to work. It wasn’t really bad, but I did kind of not want my vacation to end. But… I guess that’s life. The good thing about going back to work is that I will once again have money coming in. And after the pile of money that we spent last week, it’s good to once again see my bank account increase. So I guess there’s some good points about vacations and some good points about being back at work.

My husband is on call this weekend so we are pretty much stuck close to home and I’m in quite a bit of pain these days so I don’t feel like doing to much of anything. I did go to the doctor for my pain and got some medication so I’m hoping I won’t be in pain all weekend long, but you never know. So I guess we’ll stick close to home this weekend and just try to relax a bit more than we usually do.
