Long weekend

Well we are currently in the middle of a long weekend. It’s the Labour day weekend. My husband did have to work this morning, but he’s home now and does not have to go back to work until Tuesday. And the best news of all. He’s NOT on call. So this means we can actually do something if we want to. Another reason why I absolutely love this holiday weekend is because when it’s over the kids go back to school, my husband goes back to work and I once again have some ME time! I can’t wait.

So I hope every one of you enjoy your long holiday weekend. I know I will!

Murder!

Once again there was a murder in our town over the weekend. This little safe community is starting to be not so safe anymore. I’m really starting to get a little frightened. It’s pretty bad these days when a person can’t even walk down the road without being in fear of their lives. The police do have a suspect. But not arrests have been made. I’ve wanted to move from this area for a very long time. But now I want to move even more. I honestly can’t believe how bad things are getting around here lately.

I took a me day!

Well after working steadily on my computer for over a week, yesterday I took a “me” day. I barely did any work on my computer and did absolutely no housework. But I needed this day off. First thing we did was to go out to brunch as a family. Then we went for a pretty long drive in our new Jeep. Then after we came home the kids went over to play with our neighbor in her pool. And I sat outside for most of the day talking to my friend. So it was a nice relaxing day for me. I’m really hoping I get to do this more often. And I’m going to try to do this a little more often. For my sanity and my family’s sanity, I really do need to take some time off and just do nothing.

Crappy way to start the day

For the second day in a row, my husband has overslept in the morning. This morning we woke up at 7:25 and he is supposed to be to work for 7:30. Well… he didn’t quite make it. When your day starts off like this, you just want to jump back in bed and hide for the day because you know it’s going to be a bad one. And so far it has been. The kids have been fighting ALL DAY, it’s extremely hot and I’m pretty sure my husband forgot to take his testosterone booster (just kidding). But you get where I am going with all this don’t you? I can’t wait for this day to end so we can all try and have a better one tomorrow.

Great day to do housework

Yeah, yeah I know the title of this post sounds funny but…. because it’s been so hot out the last few days I haven’t been able to get much accomplished in my house. It’s just been too darn hot to work. But today the temperature is a whole lot cooler so I think I’m going to be able to get quite a bit done. I have a lot of housework to get finished so I don’t think I’ll have a lot of time to get any online work done or do my ab workout. But as long as I have a clean house I guess I can be happy with that. So… I’m off to do the housework.

Time marches on

I honestly can’t believe how fast the days are rushing by. This week my husband is home for a week’s vacation and in about two weeks time the two kids will be out of school for the summer holidays. I really have to wonder where all this time has gone. So I’ve got to put a rush on getting my work done before I have a lot of little feet under foot. Seriously does time fly faster now that I’m an adult than when I was a kid???

Change in plans

So much for my weekend off of fun and relaxation. I had a few plans this weekend, but… they all have to be changed. My husband got called into work this morning and I have no idea when he will be done. So today it pretty much a waste of a day. But I do still plan on taking the day off my working on my computer. Who knows, maybe I’ll just spend the day on sites like www.weightlossdrinks.net. But whatever I decide to do, it won’t be working. So I guess the day may turn out alright after all.

Crappy weekend ahead

Well today is Thursday and it has been raining all day. I just heard that this rain is not supposed to go away any time soon. It sounds like we’re in for a really crappy weekend weather wise. So I guess I’ll be doing a lot of indoor stuff this weekend. This will give me a change to get caught up with all my blogs, caught up on all the housework and quite possibly fit a acne cream treatment in as well. I really don’t mind a weekend like this every once and awhile as it does force me to do indoor stuff. But… hopefully we’ll see a bit of sunshine this weekend. That would be a nice break.

Yup, it’s Friday again

Well once again another weekend has passed and we are looking forward to a great weekend once again. I don’t have a whole lot of plans scheduled for this weekend, but there are some things that I plan on getting done. I need to find some really cheap term life insurance quotes, we are going to the town wide yard sale and I have a bit of Internet work that I need to finish up before Monday. So I think it’s going to be a pretty quiet weekend.

How about you folks? What’s your plans for the weekend?

Summer activities

With the end of the school year in sight, I have started looking into some programs for the two kids to get involved in this summer. Both of the kids want to take swimming lessons which I think is a super idea. My son was a set of stainless steel drums to take drum lessons, but I honestly can’t see that happening. My daughter wants to take riding lessons and my son wants to join soccer. Maybe I can swing these two activities. I really want to find them something fun to do this summer. Otherwise their both stuck around the house and then the fighting begins.
