So you may not all be aware of this, but this year my daughter has decided not to play the violin. It’s kind of a shame that she chose not to, but as it was her decision I do respect that and let her make her own choices. Well now she has joined the percussion club. When she informed me of this particular decision, I was not real impressed. I had visions of her sitting in her room banging on a stainless steel drums set and let me tell you all, I was not looking forward to that. But fortunately any and all practices are done at school. So this particular club now has my seal of approval. LOL

No more violin

Well after two years of playing and learning the violin, my daughter has decided that she doesn’t want to continue on with this anymore. All along I have told her that it is her decision and hers alone on whether she will continue to play or not. And now since she has made the decision not to play, her father and I are respecting her decision. I kind of figured that after last year she probably wouldn’t play after that. This year she went to middle school and with so much other stuff going on, she has decided to try some different things. I am a little disappointed that she won’t be continuing on, but as I said it’s her decision and I will respect that.

Final violin performance

If your a regular reader of this blog, then you are already aware of the fact that my daughter is taking violin lessons through her school district. She has been playing for about two years now and is starting to get very good. Well she has her final violin performance coming up next week. She’s quite excited about this performance, because she will be doing a solo performance during the night. So, I can just imagine that for the next few days she will be practicing like crazy. I can’t wait to see her perform and really can’t wait to see her solo. And as always, I will keep you updated on her success with the night.

Pounding the pavement

Well it’s time once again to provillus reviews mens health
start bothering our friends, family and neighbors. My daughter came home with her fiddle-a-thon pledge sheet today. She has until April 4th to have all these pledges gotten and given in to the teacher. The good thing about all this money raised is that 40% of what she collects will go into a strings account in her name. Over the years as she gets enough money collected, this money can be used for either to purchase a new violin, bows or rosin, or even to help pay for violin camp. Last year was the first year that she did this and she did get quite a bit of money collected. So hopefully, this year she will be able to add to her account.

Is my singing that bad??

My youngest son is so funny. On a daily basis he cracks me right up. This kid is a funny kid without even trying. I was laughing so hard at him yesterday and here is the reason why:

Yesterday morning I spent most of the morning searching for songs to download on my mp3 player. I was finally able to find a site that had a ton of songs on it. Songs I like and have actually heard of. So I spent the remainder of the day downloading a lot of pretty cool songs. For those of you who are wondering, I listen to mainly country music and soft rock. After I got the music downloaded, I needed to go to the bus stop to pick up the kids.

After we got home I plugged in my headphones and started listening to the songs I had just downloaded. APPARENTLY I was singing out loud to a couple of the songs. Well my son was sitting on the floor doing his homework and he started laughing. He was laughing so hard I thought he was going to bust a gut. When I questioned him on his laughter he then replied to me that “I had best not give up my day job”. He’s only 8 so this remark was quite amusing all in itself.

I can’t wait until he gets off the bus today, I’ve downloaded some more!

Final strings performance

Tonight my daughter will perform in does provillus work
her last strings performance of the school year. In November she started learning how to play the violin and I am amazed at her progress. Although she missed a bit of school work and violin lessons due to some illnesses, she still managed to catch up to the class and in some cases surpass the class. So tonight she will show off all her talents and we will all get to see just how much the children have learned during this time.

After this performance she will turn her violin in to the teacher for the summer. Then in the fall (when she enters grade 5) she will then start her lessons all over again if she chooses. The choice is hers to make and so far she has decided that she will be going back into this program. She is a very talented and determined little girl and I'm very sure that her performance tonight will be very entertaining. If I haven't said it before I am very confident that this kid is going to go places in her life and in her musical career.

Musical Festival– Huge Success!

Finally the caralluma umbellata
day arrived that my daughter has been waiting for since she first started playing the violin. Today was their musical festival day and competition. There were a lot of schools represented at this event and over 115 children were performing. The kids worked really hard this past year on learning the violin and learning different songs to play. So..I am happy to announce that all their hard work paid off. My daughter's class won the GOLD in her division.

She was so happy as were all the children. It finally seemed to them that all their practicing and hard work finally paid off in a big way. Their music teacher was extremely pleased with the results and I am almost positive that she will have something special for them the next day they all get together.

Although winning isn't everything, it sure is a nice feeling when you do win. ALL the children did wonderful and the lowest medal that was given out was a silver. So...only one more performance to end this year and then they will have a summer break. Next year the kids get to decide if they want to go back in it or not. Kara has already stated that she's in it for the long haul. And, after her big win today, I'm quite sure that she will be.

Fiddle-a-thon

This morning at 8:00 am my daughter and provillus help
I headed out the door for her to attend her first fiddle-a-thon. For the past month she has been getting pledges to play for 200 minutes. All the money that was collected for this event is going towards their school's string program.

I have to say that this event was a huge success. All the kids had fun and their playing was surprisingly good. And...the 200 minutes seemed to go by very quickly. I was surprised! Kara is really really tired now, but she sure had a lot of fun. Her favorite part of playing the violin is the performances so she really enjoyed today. And my ears are still normal. So a good day was had by all. I'm not sure if I got any good pictures as my batteries died quite early in the morning. But I wil check later to see if I got any and if I did, I'll be sure to post them.

I think his boss is mellowing

I have posted before about my husband and how to use provillus
his troubles with his boss at work. He has gotten into a couple of really heated arguments with him over the past month, but I think the worst is over.

Our daughter has a violin competition coming up on April 23 and because it's in the city I asked him if he could please try to get the day off to take her and to attend it. I don't drive in the city and someone has to be home to grab our young son off the school bus.

So my husband asked his boss if he could have that day off and explained to him why he needed it. Not only did his boss say yes, but he also told him to make sure he reminded him about it. He also stated that "family comes first so make sure you don't plan any major jobs for that day. Your daughter needs you". So this is why I'm thinking his boss may be mellowing. A month ago my husband couldn't even get the day off to go to the doctor and now the boss has done a complete turn around. Oh well. I really don't care why he's being nice. I only care that he is!

Fiddle-a-thon coming up

This weekend I have to caralluma umbellata pregnane steroid
get off my butt and go door to door with my daughter. On April 19 she will be participating in her first fiddle-a-thon (she plays the violin) and she needs people to pledge her. Of course my husband and I will both pledge her and she has a couple of aunts who have offered some money. My husband will take her pledge sheet to his work so I get to walk around our with her this weekend to see if our neighbors are generous. I am only taking her to the houses where we know the people. Hopefully she will be able to fill up her pledge sheet by April 19.

The fiddle-a-thon runs that Saturday from 8:15 am until 12:00 pm so I'm really thinking that I should get my own pledge sheet to see if people will give me money for ear plugs (I have to stay the entire time) lol. But it's all good and I'm sure she will have a blast. I know she is really looking forward to this big day.
