Long weekend ended

I love long weekends but I think I love it more when they are finally over. Having the family home for the past four days really did do a number on my house. Not only were they home messing up the joint, none of them would help clean it either. So on top of all the computer work I have to do today I have some serious cleaning to do as well. But with them all back in school and back to work, I know I’ll get it done and it will look good at least until they get home.

Busy working from home

Although I don’t work outside the home anymore, I sure have been busy lately working. I have started doing transcription online for a company and later on today I will be going to the fabric store to purchase the fabric I need to start making quilts again to sell them. I hoping this all works out for me. If I can get my crafting business back up and running and keep getting work from my transcription company I don’t think I’ll worry about looking for an outside job. I don’t need a whole lot of income coming in so it would be nice to be able to make what I need from home and not worry about the outside world rat race.

Well I was presented with quite an offer the other day. A few years ago I worked for a company doing transcription. But because of real life and outside work, I was forced to give it up. Well after a couple of years I received a surprise e-mail from this company asking if I would like to come back to work for them. As I made some pretty good money before working for them, I jumped at this chance. So now instead of wasting time playing games on Facebook and doing articles on find asp handcuffs and things of that nature I am once again doing transcription. It’s a lot of work, but end the end the payoff will be really good. So happy right now!

Back to business

Well since I haven’t been able to find an outside job yet, I have started thinking about setting up my home crafting business once again. I have actually done more than thinking and have started creating jewelry once again. Over the past couple of days I have made six pairs of earrings, two bracelets and four necklaces. Yes I know it doesn’t sound like much, but it’s a start. I’m going to create more pieces today and then tomorrow will take pics and try to set up a brand new website. I have already thought of the name for my business (you’ll have to wait for that) and will also post pics and prices on Esty.com and Artfire.com. So… until I find outside employment I’m going to try to get things going on this potential money making venture. I’ll keep you all posted.

Summer soon arriving

With summer fast approaching, I be a lot of you are thinking about working out once again to get in shape for the nicer weather. Well, I have been. Although I’m seriously underweight and don’t need to lose any more, I really do want to tone up. So I’ve been checking out some yoga dvd’s and I think I have found the best yoga dvd for me. I’m not really into gyms or pumping up so I think doing yoga would be right up my alley. I’m not getting any younger these days (actually in a couple of weeks I’ll be 45) so I’m trying to live healthier and look better and I think this dvd would help.

Not healing properly

Well the surgery might have gone well but apparently the healing process has not. Yesterday I went for my check up to see how things are going and apparently I’m not healing properly. So.. I’ve been put off for another six weeks before I can begin my last leg of my dental process that began back in February. I’m not real impressed with this, but what can you do. I’ll have to wait the six weeks and hopefully by then I’ll be all healed up and can finish with all this dental work. I for one cannot wait!

Surgery went well

Well it’s been almost a week since I had my dental surgery and I have to tell you all that it went a lot better than I thought it would! I know I haven’t been in here for a while but I was busy getting better. I didn’t even go on the computer to research window replacement richmond va that I needed to do for some online work. But I’m back feeling really good so I’m back at the computer. I have to go back in next week for a follow up but as long as everything is healing the way it’s supposed to be, this ordeal will finally be over. All I can say, is it absolutely could have been a lot worse and I kind of wish that I hadn’t suffered in pain for all those years when the fix really wasn’t that bad.

Getting anxious

Well I’m starting to get a little anxious here. Next Tuesday I have to have some major dental surgery done and the time for this has just about creeped up on me. I’m not a huge fan of dentists anyway so having to go to one and have surgery is really not my idea of a fun time. But it has to be done so I guess I just have to suck it up and deal with it. My husband will be home next week so if I’m not feeling real well at least he can take care of me.

Grading presents

Although the kids still have 10 weeks of school left, I have started thinking about grading presents. I know for a fact my daughter will grade as all three of her report cards that have come home have been straight A’s. My son on the other hand is borderline so if he grades, I really want to find good presents. I have been checking out electric guitars for sale for my son as he absolutely loves guitars but for my daughter I am kind of stumped. But I have at least 10 weeks to find them something perfect.
